Forty years ago, a remarkable, self-help prison rehabilitation program was brought to the Kansas State Penitentiary by activist SuEllen Fried who persuaded officials to establish it inside the walls with the help of a Lifer’s Club member there. So many people had the hunger to understand the roots of violence in their lives that the program became instantly accepted on the inside and has since spread to every prison in the state of Kansas.

We teamed up with Reaching Out From Within to craft a compelling video that highlights their inspiring journey—from humble beginnings to becoming a powerful force for change. This film not only chronicles their rich history but also showcases the dedication and passion behind their mission. Used strategically during an impactful event, the video played a key role in raising significant funds and amplifying awareness for their cause, helping them expand their reach and make an even greater impact.
